Cool I started OIP therapy group last week. I'm trying really hard. I've gone thru the cognitive therapy before ... my mind is not working this time ... the coordinator talks really fast. I'm sure I'll address that with her, but it makes me feel more isolated. I feel in a fog ... I was trying to have a panic attack while there ... surely did not want them to jump on me about that ... I went to the car and took medication after group. Here's hoping for a better session Thursday.

Hey Becky,

I joined IOP about 6 weeks ago. it's so hard to focus on skills and whatnot when your mood is low. Hang in there though, there are benefits, it is helping me somewhat. keep us posted and good luck, we care! Robyn

Hi Becky, just wanted to add my hopes that next week goes better also.

And I hope you're having a good holiday.

NOTE: I can't imagine anyone is surprised that distracted driving has overtaken drunk driving as the number one cause of death on the road. Please, y'all, keep your eyes sharp when you drive. The guy in the next car could be on a computer in the dash board (whoever dreamed that up should have to watch autopsies), while the one behind you is texting. It's important to be aware of those around you. The kid who ended my second to last life was in a huge SUV and on the telephone.

Hi Robyn ... I completed the outpatient program last fall ... or as long as my insurance covered it. It is impossible for me to be cognitive when my short term memory is at it's worst! The instructor said that was ok, just listen and pick up what you can. I loved the gals I met in the Program and think about them often. If I learned anything it was that there are a lot of us out there in pain and some of us are trying to figure a way out! Cool
