I believe it has also offered me the chance to reach out and help others. A simple Thank you, is all that I have to offer, to this site and to the wonderful people here.

Hi Molly. I'm sorry for what you are experiencing with your depression and the asking why? Sometimes there are no answers to that question and sometimes we know why but don't know how to fix it or make it better. I saw you lost your dad and want to say how sorry I am for your loss. I know how much loosing my mom has affected me and it has increased my depression over the past 2 and a half years. It helps to find those who understand the pain, grief and depression we feel. Know you are not alone. Welcome to the group. They're are many caring, supportive and understanding people here which you may find a comfort to you. Gentle warm hugs, Rachele

Hi Molly and welcome to our depression group. I, too, am sorry for your loss. I've been depressed off and on since I was 3 when my father died and nobody would tell me what happened to him.

Why? That's a difficult question. If you were not depressed before your father died, you could be in a reactive depression. But even if it is reactive and you get it cleared up, it could come back at some time.

I think, Sweetie, that we all ask why at times.

Are you getting any treatment - like antidepressants or therapy? Both can be very helpful.

We are a warm, non-judgmental group, so feel free to rant, rave, tell us good things when they happen, or share whatever you feel like sharing. You are in the right place. Please let us know how you're doing. We care and we understand.

Warm welcoming wishes, Sylvia

NOTE: I can't imagine anyone is surprised that distracted driving has overtaken drunk driving as the number one cause of death on the road. Please, y'all, keep your eyes sharp when you drive. The guy in the next car could be on a computer in the dash board (whoever dreamed that up should have to watch autopsies), while the one behind you is texting. It's important to be aware of those around you. The kid who ended my second to last life was in a huge SUV and on the telephone.

Hey Molly it is nice to meet you sweety. My name is Viv and I am glad you found our group here. We have a warm and caring group here and it is good to have you here with us.

I think all of us with Depression would like to know that answer WHY? I know I used to ask it alot when I was younger now I just take it as part of being me. I have good days and bad but each day is a chance for a better one.

Sorry for the loss of your father. I know that is really hard I have lost both and its not easy. If you ever need to talk about it thats why we are all here to share with one another. Or sometimes just to know somone cares and we do.

Molly your very much not alone sweety you have all of us now. Many blessings to you! wel 4 1
