I found this in a book called Stop Walking on Eggshells. Pg. 107. I am posting it here because someone suggested I do so after reading it in my diary. I hope others find these questions helpful to them in their search for happiness and a fulfilling life.

All people, not just NON-borderlines, have the right to healthy relationships. however, after months...OR years of enduring excessive criticism, blame, and borderline rage, most NON-borderlines may begin to question whether they deserve to have a healthy relationship. Do you believe that you have the following rights???

1. To feel respected as a person

2. To get your physical and emotional needs met

3. To be appreciated and not taken for granted

4. To communicate effectively with your partner

5. To have your privacy respected

6. To not constantly fight for control

7. To feel good about yourself and your relationship

8. To trust, validate, and support each other

9. To grow within and outside of the relationship

10. To have your own opinions and thoughts

11. To either stay in or leave the relationship

I think these questions can cross over and be helpful in a variety of the other support groups on this site. I think these are important things to consider in any of your relationships.

Good luck to everyone!

The greatest good you can do for another is not just to share your riches, but to reveal to him his own. Benjamin Disraeli, 1804-1881
