my name is lena and my mom is almost 70 and she was living with my sister and she was combative and angry and confused so i decided on my own to send her to the hospital for tests and they sent her to a Psyche hospital for observation and the next thing that was best was to send her to a nursing home and she got real bad there so they sent her to another hospital for ten days did i do the right thing

Hi and Welcome, I think you did the right thing. I don't know how it will all end up (hopefully well for everyone) but it sounds like you saw her acting oddly and sent her in for tests. It seems like a very reasonable thing to do to me. This is especially true if the changes were sudden.
