I am from India, Bangalore.
my daughter is 24 yrs old completed engineering. She is having lot of motion with foul smell and malabsorption syndrome since childhood.
At the age of 10-11 she was investigated for the fouls smelling motion and underweight weight,it was found that her pancreatic enzyme secretion was low. That time it was advised to give two tablets of Festal-N on each meal. After starting that enzyme she put up weight and there was visible body development.
Her case history:-
1. At the age of 3 she had first intestine obstruction which was cleared by conservative treatment.
2. At age of about 10 years she had again intestine obstruction and got cleared conservatively. Than the investigation was carried out and pancreatic enzyme was started.
3. At the age of 20 (year 2007)she had intestine obstruction and conservatively cleared.That time She was very irregular in taking the pancreatic enzymes. Some times months she never use to take medicines.
4. She started taking pancreatic enzymes of 2 tablets of feestal-N/Pankroflat with each meal, but she was irregular in taking medicine. Than she had episodes of intestine obstruction in- 2008, two times in 2009, 2010, two times in 2011.
5. She was suspected to be a cystic fibrosis case, However only city scan was done and laproscopy of intestine was done to find out any other problem.No other problem was found, Her pancrea is of normal size, how ever some times it was detected that the liver and pancreas with lot of fat.
6. Now doctors advise for higher amount of pancreatic enzyme, Creon40000 /digestamin25000. Presently she is being given 3tablets of pankroflat with each meal.
She is very active and working as a freelancer interior designer. Her height - 5 feet 6 inch, weight 45 Kg, lean and having more motion with foul smelling. Being an engineering graduate she is happy going and enjoying her profession.
Can anybody give me valuable advise so as to help her for a better life.
