MDJunction to me

ThereseML"When I first came to MDJ, I was in need of peer support in dealing with issues of my childhood abuse. I was moving away from the painful issues and trying to find an uplifting group of people to help me transition to a thriver in my life. I found that here. I also found a group of peers with Fibromyalgia and found the same uplifting experience there. My computer crashed and it was a while before I found my way back, this time with issues related to Parkinson's Disease. I had tried a few other support sites before reminding myself of MDJ. On those, I never got a reply. I finally found my way back here and again found very supportive, caring and inspiring people who made me feel like I was 'back home'. Indeed I am." (ThereseML)

Hey. I have difficulty in getting out of bed in the morning. I don't think it's because I'm lazy, I just feel like I physically can't get out of bed and sometimes its 2-3 in the afternoon. Id love to feel refreshed and get up at like 7 - 9 am. But then my bodies telling me its really early! Any help or advise?

Shaun

900mg Depamide a day
200mg of Atarx a day
10mg of Zyprexa a day
(Sometimes the occasional vitamin tablet when I can be bothered)

I have trouble getting out of bed in the morning as well. In my case, it's partially medication, since i take meds to help me sleep. This is especially true if I went to bed too late the night before. Are you taking anything that could be causing this? Do you always have trouble getting up, or only when you're in certain moods?
Keep in mind that I'm not a medical professional, and my advice is based on personal experience.

Of course talk with your pdoc about your meds and the possible drowsy side effects or insomnia, but also make sure your sleep patterns are consistent. Try to go to bed and get up at the same time every day. Also, it may help NOT to watch TV an hour or so before you try to go to sleep. This will help relax your mind. Also, Cymbalta is a good anti depressant that gives a burst of energy when you first take it. This may help you if you take it in the morning. Just opinions, but I hope they help.
