I had my secod Crohns surgery in 2010. They had to take out my colon and connect my lower intestine to my rectum. They cut straight down the middle of my stomach. Is been two years and the stomch muscles still hven't went back together. I was wondering after you have surgery like this does the stomach muscles every go back to normal? Or will my stomah forever look this way? kinda think of partig something in two ways with a scar down the middle.

Neon,

Had to same surgery three years ago. I would say I have 95 percent of my stomach muscles. I still have the scar. It is fairly visible close up and can not be seen far away.

I have a stomach scar and no problems with the muscles. Would be better if I could get the energy to work out. Have another surgery in a month for a fiscula. Maybe thiswill bethe end and I can get motivated and work the scar away.
