Anyone go out into the Black Friday madness? Or start/work on/finish your shopping online? What kind of deals did you find? Whatever holiday(s) you celebrate, share the incredible find! Celebrate that it is all done and wrapped! Or see if someone has seen that must-have item on your list!

I am unable to work and not yet approved for SSDI, so my resources are very limited. I am making the majority of the gifts I will be giving, so I did my shopping online for yarn, zippers, hairbands, etc. (There's a tween & teen niece on my list, and hair - OMG, SO IMPORTANT!!!!) Whistling

So while waiting on the supplies to arrive, I am crocheting a guitar strap for my BIL. And embroidering placemats for my mom's Christmas table.

What about you?

Still recovering from Thanksgiving..LOL!No black friday for me.But here is a little bit on info I though was interesting...........

This date is called Black Friday because this is when retailers are said to start making a profit for the year. Therefore, their bank books go from being in the red to black!

We had our dinner on Friday since that was the day we could all be together. I forgot to mention that between the placemats and the guitar strap, I am doing the Crohn's Olympics: run for the bathroom!

Thanks for the factoid about Black Friday. Goes to show you just never know what you will learn at mdjunction! Smile

Technically, I've never done the Black Friday thing, but we did have to venture out last night to get a full-spectrum lighting setup for the new rescued parrot we're adopting this weekend. Our find of the day: 48 AA Rayovac batteries for $10 (normally $29). Hubby and I both agreed that we never thought we'd ever be so excited to find an amazing deal on...batteries.
Just another patient trying to chase down some good health.
