Hi. This is my first try at a support group, always trying something new.

I got sick in 2000. I just thought I had a "bad cold" that wouldn't go away. I lost 75 pounds in about 3 months. After much ado, the doctors decided that I had Crohn's. Lots of prednisone, time, two surgeries, and many drugs later, I am doing ok

Of course some days are better than others. It took me a long time to adjust to that. I still hate it that some times I am unable to do what I would like. My son is 11 and I worry about him growing up living with my Crohn's. Most of all, I hope that he doesn't have it.

I am looking forward to meeting everyone and get to hear their stories and see how they make it through every day.

Welcome to the group. I was just recently diagnosed with this disease a few weekss ago. This group has really been supportive and informative. It is nice to talk to others who know what it is we go through and to not feel alone with this disease.

I hope you find this chat as a relief and use it as a sounding board for all of your feelings. How are you doing now? Are you currently in remission? What drugs have you taken? What has worked best for you? Be well,

RNS

Welcome to the group Strumpetta. I'm still trying to get diagnosed. This is a great forum here that is really supportive. There are a lot of people in different stages so lots of different perspectives. So chime in with any of the threads with advice or questions and we're here for you to vent to as well. Talk to you again soon I hope.

Welcome to the group. These great people have helped me deal with my lack of diagnosis and some have helped me to insist on answers. I am still working on this, but I am closer, because of them. I hope you feel as welcome here as I do and I want to wish you the best.
Hugs, *Stella
