I weigh 100 pounds and my face is swelled so bad from the prednisone. Is there anything you can do to make it go away? I absolutely hate the way it makes me look. I have a big round face and skinny body.Sad

I just started prednisone on Thursday and I weigh 95 pounds, so I feel your pain. You have to really reduce your sodium intake... the side effect you are having is called moon face, but it is only temporary. You may want to talk to your doctor and see if he/she could lower your dosage. Hang in there, it sucks now, but it's not forever.

It is a side effect from the Pred. Once you get off the moon face will go away. Better to heal your guts now and the Pred is doing that. I will get to remember my last bout on Pred, as on my Passport picture I had full on moon face. So for the next 10 years I get to look at itSad

Hugs!
