This and "is there blood in it?" have become the most popular sayings in our house the past few weeks, since finding out our 3 year old daughter has crohn's. After saying it for the millionth time yesterday, I realized that this is now permanent in our household. Not only do we ask her but our 5 and 6 year old also. I was a little distraut at first hearing the news but I guess I have come to grips with it now. (somewhat) I have realized that there will be good and bad days. And some days, like lately, she will be using the bathroom more then she will be playing with her toys. I think she is stronger than me. She hardly ever complains. We will just have to appreciate the good days and get the most out of them. Since she is so young, the Dr. says she may build immunity and grow out of this. This is our prayer and I am asking everyone who prays t o help us. I believe God and am trusting in his healing power. Thank you.

You are in my thoughts. This is probably harder for you dealing with it now then her. I worry about my granddaughter getting crohns. She's 2 and when I watch her I have this habit of evaluating her BMs. My daughter seems to think I overreact. But thats just our mother instinct kicking in. It certainly cannot be easy going thru this. Just educate yourself and keep your GI in the loop. Please let me know if theres any thing I can help you thru. Smile

I will pray for you and your family... Children are so strong but I know as a parent we will take their pain 10 fold if we could... Sadly we cannot. Stay postive and in prayer and she WILL grow out of it... Let's claim it for her together. Matthew 7:7 "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you"

Prayers to you all. I really hope for her that she will grow out of it. Children can surprise you at what they can handle though. I don't think we give them enough credit when it comes it things like this.
