Hi all, I haven't been on here in months and I figured I needed to ask fellow Crohnies if they have been having this issue too, this is more for girls then boys.

I've had Crohn's Disease for over a year now and I reached my one year point for my Remicade Infusions. For those that know about the infusions you know it could cause more health issues (exactly what we all need)

I had my Gyno check up and my pap came back high, they did a minor surgery and took some tissue out, a few weeks later I found out that I am HPV positive and of course I instantly freaked out due to I had no sort of boyfriend at the time and my sex life was non existent. I found out you can get it from just your body itself and its not just sexually transmitted.

My Crohn's specialist said that he has had a number of young women lately that have become HPV positive with Crohn's Disease and how they are trying to figure out if anything could be a trigger to it and how to keep it at bay.

My question is to all you ladies that might be dealing with it yourself or know other Crohn's patients specifically that are dealing with the same thing if any of your doctors think its from treatments and how you have been with it, also how long it lasts.

Yes My daughter got her first pap just after being diagnosised and she came up hpv positive also. RN from GI Dr said it was common with Crohn's.
