Do any of you have problems getting your stool stuck in your rectum? I am have major issues with this as of late. Yes i drink lots of water, have now cut out alot of fibre as i was on a "healthy" kick but that seemed to back fire. I have tried mineral oil upthe ol wazoo( that was the only thing that got things unstuck this time) I start trying in the morning and if i am lucky by mid afternoon it comes out. And i am soooo sore and swollen during and after. I am doing everything i am suppose to do, taking my shots from hell and yet this happens. What do you do for it??

Stool softeners really help out with that problem and also if you drink lactaid milk it will loosen up your stools enough.

What does the doc say about this? What meds are you on that might cause problems like this?

Before I had Crohn's, Joe's idea about stool softeners worked for me. After I had surgery & was on opiate pain meds, I needed a stool softener.

this might sound wierd but there is this stuff you can take called Slippery Elm that coats your bowels with a mucus that helps you when using the bathroom.
