I have been on Humira now for over 3 years and my GI finally told me I am in remission! Although I am really excited about this, I still have to take weekly injections to maintain remission, question is My legs are getting scared from so many injections, I have heard that you can do this injection in your stomach, but really how. Painful is it going to be. There are weeks when the injection hurts really bad in the leg, it is really hard for me to imagain that pain in my stomach. So if anyone has ever done Humira injections in their stomach please let me know if it is even worth me trying it! Dizzy

The stomach is actually less painful in my opinion, but you should rotate so you do not build up scar tissue. As we know we need more problems like wholes in the head, so why cause more damage. So make sure you keep a chart of where you gave yourself the shot and change it each time, or you can cause unwanted tissue damage

I also do monthly injections of cimzia. Mine are in the lower abdomen, rotating the spots. Honestly I tried it the thigh once and felt it waaaay more painful then the stomach. Maybe a little more fatty tissue there. Smile

My thighs are sort of chubby so I do better with shots on the upper/outer thigh...the stomach thing sort of creeps me out, but better than scar tissue!!

I do Cimzia injections monthly and rotate between my thighs and stomach. My thighs are WAY more painful than my stomach. It will hurt more wherever you are more muscular. I have a lot of muscle in my legs and not as much in my stomach. I dread the months where I inject in my thighs and have no issues with the stomach. Give it a try and I think you will be pleasantly surprised!
