Why wear a ribbon?

MDJunction to me

Sylvia4648"I have suffered from depression most of my life, but had some long, non-depressed times. The last 16 years have been an on-going, constantly worsening nightmare for me medically, socially and with my family. 11/2008 to the present has been the worst time in my life, and new things just keep piling up. During that time I’ve gone from being mostly homebound to being totally homebound due to the errors of about 2 dozen doctors who overmedicated me so badly that I came home w/ 4 conditions I didn’t go in with. I spent months wanting to die, and finding MDJ may well have saved my life. It’s one of the worst feelings to know that nobody on earth needs you for anything; but now that I’ve been a group leader for awhile, there are people here who need me. Thanks MDJ." (Sylvia4648)

Last Monday I made the switch from my specialist at the children's hospital over to the adult hospital. It was definitely a weird feeling going to a new hospital, and having new nurses and doctors.I switched because I am having a new pain, directly related to eating, and being at a bigger, more age appropriate hospital will give me the best chance of finding out what is going on. In the mean time I am having pain after I eat, almost every time, so I am finding to very difficult to do things and go places. It is very frustrating having something control my life in this manner, but not something that is new to me.

On top of all of this change I have to go see a rheumatologist because my ANA levels have been elevated for the past few months. I'm not really sure what this means and how it will effect my crohns.

I'm just hoping for the best, and that sometime soon my life will get back to normal!
