Has anyone else evr been told not to take Nsaids because of their Crohn's. I have always been told that and I think it might have caused my recent flare up because of course sometimes I don't listen lke I should. Tylenol does not work well for me and I am wondering if anyone else was given ideas for what to take from their DRS..

I have been told not to take any type of Nsaid because it can cause a flare. I was on Nsaids for a long time and my trip to the Crohn's specialist revealed that I probably do not have Crohn's. I have medicinal damage to my colon due to Nsaids. I am no longer able to take them because I now have a sensitivity to them. Tylenol does not work for me either, but they said to get a prescription for pain meds if the pain is not helped by Tylenol.

If you have any stomach problem, nsaids are not the way to go.

When you get an rx for tylenol, does it have codeine or something else in it too?

It is true. I had gastric bypass surgery so I have been avoiding them as much as I can. I have such a fever right now and nothing is breaking it. I'm craving advil.

That's what makes it so hard with pain killers. We can't take the nsaids, the docs don't want to give us prescription painkillers. So, we are stuck with the water pills (that's what i call them) known as regular Tylenol. It's really frustrating....

After I had a lower body lift I had an open wound the size of a tennis ball. It took 6 months to heal, normal 6 weeks. When I called the nurse at 3 months for pain medication she said I was too far out of surgery to be in pain and I was in pain from the medication.

How about I was in pain from sticking gauze into an open wound into my body and putting a silver nitrate on it.
