For those of you afraid to go to the ER because some idiot Doctor has you told crohns is not a place for the ER ---- PLEASE report them to the highest official at the hospital. This was an example of a new member diagnosed with crohns. I am beside myself that a Doctor would say this. I'd report his a@* to everyone in that hospital. Please do not let this discourage anyone who feels their GI isn't listening. Get your behind to the ER if it is something you believe needs immediate attention. I have been fortunate that my 1st trip to the ER I was met with some very caring Doctors and nurses. Thank God I didn't meet the idiot that said this!!!!!!

Yep, Not all Dr's are A students. I wonder about my Dr's grades in medical school were? Top of the class or just got by? Think about it. Dr's are a dime a dozen. Find one that will suit your needs and feel comfortable with, and has the knowlege.

I was sent home from a hospital because they told me thery knew I had a problem but just couldn't help me. I was devestated and twice I have been misdiagnosed when I had bowel obstructions. I just believe in what I know to be right.

Change insurance. Worked for me when I was misdiagnosed. >_> Meh but maybe it was just that dude who didn't know anything about it. I wonder how many times Crohn's gets misdiagnosed with IBS....?
