MDJunction to me

djfilippone"Before I found this site I felt so alone.  Watching my daughter struggle with IH and being treated like she had two heads from doctors.    I have plenty of family and friends but there was nobody that really knew what she was going through.
I not only have support and love from others who will listen and share their
story, but I have made some forever friends.  Having this support site does make a difference to many.

I was released from the hospital two weeks ago, they gave me prescriptions for Xifaxan, Prednisone, Asacol, Foltrin, and Fluconazal. I feel much better, no constant need to go to the bathroom, I can actually eat, and no stomach pains. My problem, I am not getting any stronger - as a matter of fact my legs and arms feel like they are getting weaker. How can this be? I feel like it might be a side effect of the Prednisone, but I don't know, this hasn't happened before. Has this happened to anyone else?

I saw one of my doctors on friday and he said I was dehydrated and gave me two bags of fluids and told me to come back on monday and do it again. However, I don't feel any different and neither one of these two seem concerned that I feel so weak. I don't know, my husband reminded me that I have been out of comission for almost two months so maybe I am just wanting to be well to quickly.

I was very week after an 8 day hospital stay. I increased my protein and began a good liquid whole food vitamin but it took time to regain my strength.
