Hi

I was just realased from the hospital today and all they seem to think is I have a stomach infection going through my system. I had sudden pain last friday and started throwing up with diarreha. It kept getting worse over the weekend and so monday I called the DR.They ran blood tests and said don't anything because it looks like you have pancretitis. I started noticing lots of blood and by Wed. the pain and vomiting was so bad that I finlly went to emergency. They ran some test and decided I had pancretitis. But the over the course of two days they decided the worst part was an infection in my bowel.

I was having heart problems due to so much vominting and dirreha and so they put me in the heart center.I starte having uncontrolled bowel movements and could not make it to the bathroom and had a huge mess.I had it about 4 tmes today, but they let me go home. The just raisd my prednisone and put me on three antibiotics.

Here is hoping they got it right and I start getting better. I have already had one accident since being home.Has abnyoe ever had this problem?

The hardest problem is that they did not find a true answer to what was going on.It was just what they figured was an infection and I started thinking with all the problems they would have done a scope. Here is hoping it turns around soon!

I hate that! They used to tell me my immune system was wacky, that I had an infection "somewhere" but didn't seem too worried about it. I was worried that my platelets were off the chart! Grr.. At that time I was not yet DX with Crohn's. But if they did a little looking they may have found it years earlier! I sure hope it doesn't come back as soon as you are off the meds.

P.S. Did you ask them to do a scope?

Hi Yeah they said they were going to do one. I always fear the worst and I am thinking colon cancer. When I was having accidents in my room it was obvioius that blood was all over the floor and it was not blood from a hemroids. One DR said oh I didn't hear anything about blood. The medical staff sometimes really scares me.

I hear you. My mind goes to colon cancer too! My grandfather died of it. I know exactly what you mean about some medical staff! You would think they would notify the doctor right away! I mean they measure your urine etc.. and not blink when you bleed all over the floor! OMGoodness! Anyway, I hope all turns out for the best for you.
