I am having extreme muscle pains in my legs, arms, and stomach. I have had them before. They come and go but I was just wondering if anyone else has them. When I walk it feels like I just did a 6 mile run. Also any little jolt from walking, being nudged, sends radiating pain through my body. I'm on no meds either. Anyone suffer from this?

I have the same problem some days. I have been seeing a rheumatologist to rule out anything like fibro... however, he is afraid to diagnose anything because he says that the chron's can cause a great deal joint and muscle pain. I am going to see him in July again, if I get anymore information I will definately fill you in. Hopefully, in the mean time you can find some relief.

I have the same issue, I spoke to my GP about seeing a rheumatologist but she thinks it would not help has this condition is related to the CD. I have days where I just can hardly do a thing and I feel so lazy but then the next day when I feel a bit better I realize it's this condition.

Why aren't you on meds? Maybe you need to be. JOint pain is common in chron's patients. Remember your body is always under inflammation. That is what the medicines are supposed to combat. Also when you have a flareup your white blood cell count rises and you could have an infection in your body. take care

I would still see a rheumy. At least they can rule out fibro, arthritis, lupus, etc...Yes, crohn's can cause joint and body pain but it could be something else. If you can afford to go thru the battery of tests a rheumy usually does, it would at least be worth the peace of mind to know what's going on. I ended up being dx with fibro on top of the crohn's so now I am on meds for both.

Thank ya'll. I am not on any meds due to the fact that my body doesn't react to them. I think it has to do with the CD. Lately it is almost everyday.

I'm an Advocate

Daneybee I've gone thru this before. It felt like my BONES were aching. Complete pain and like I'd stretched every bone to full capacity. I have no idea what caused it. I do have arthritis and osteoporosis due to crohns but have no idea if that was it. I don't think it was personally. But let us know what you find out if anything. Like everything else with crohns its all a big mystery. Sad

There are some days when my muscles feel like they are on fire. I literally ache with pain. Especially my legs and back muscles. I try to relax it away in the tub or with a heating pad but sometimes all I can do is just be in pain. I crawl in a ball and sleep on the couch until it goes away.
