I have this from the parents of the children who have participated: They will be with others who have IBD, ages 7-17, from three to four states and do activities as with any other day camps. There is usually a doctor/nurse on hand to assist if a child is in distress. The camp counselors are themselves with IBD, so they can identify with their younger compatriots. it is a chance to make new friends and "network" with others who have this disease. To any parent who is interested, they should contact their local CCFA chapter and get more info because places usually fill fast.
