I was just diagnosed with crohn's and colitis. The Dr.put me on a very strict diet, no veggies no fruit, no nuts no seeds, no red meat no fish, no fiber no wheat oats or graham crackers. Is that going to be forever? Thanks.

I was diaagnosed in August 2007. I followed a diet of no pork, no beef, no tomatoes, no fruit or veggies that have seeds in them (so no strawberries or cucumbers unless seedless), no nuts. I followed a gluten free diet and got a juicer. I practically lived off chicken broth, carrot juice and beet juice until my intestines healed. Now I eat almost anything but still avoid nuts, seeds, caffeine. I take my meds and get plenty of rest too! It will get easier!
