MDJunction to me

jayna01"My name is Jayna and I wanted to take this opportunity to say how much MDJunction has meant to me. I always felt so alone before I joined in April of 2012. I felt like there wasn't anyone that really cared about me and what I was going through. I felt like there was no one that would truly listen to me in what I was feeling. Nobody was there for me. That is before I found MDJ!

I have found and met such good people on these forums. I never ever knew there were such compassionate people before MDJ. It's also nice to know that I can come here anytime and get support for what I am feeling. I feel like I have met some wonderful life long friends. It is also an outlet for me to try and help other people that are hurting. It gives me a good feeling inside and gives me self confidence in helping other people.

I hope MDJ will be as good for you as it has been for me! Many Blessings and Much love.

My pain started in the chest bone and now it goes up and over the collarbone and to the shoulder. It took the doctors nearly 6 months to finally diagnose me with costochrondritis. I finally had a bone scan and it mentioned that there was a possibility of having costo. My question is that the doctors have not been able to treatment me like the typical patient because I am on blood thinners and I can't take high doses of anti-imflammatories or steroids. I was wondering if anyone else is going through the same thing. I've been on and off of work, most recently I returned on 11/1 and today I had to leave work because of the pain. My pain management doctor has been giving me cortisone injections in the costo....junction which have been working. However I had the last one just two weeks ago. Does anyone have any suggestions that they have done that you can recommend to me?

Thank you,

Sheryl

Please be careful with steroid treatments...steroids suppress the immune system - and can cause an entirely different set of health issues - that can as a result make your pain worse in the long run...

Talk to your pain doc about Lidocane shots...they numb the pain...

You can also make dietary and supplement changes...for some Diet can actually be a trigger for costo - wheat gluten being the biggest culprit.

You can add things like Bromelain (which is from pineapple) and Turmeric (spice) to help with pain...

I have to run off to work - but try to remind me to post more info...

Time to put my life back together right now" Eminem Not Afraid
