Hi Goopy

Welcome to the group.

Look around the threads at the conversations.

Especially look at the conversations relating to supervised exercise and how it has been effective for severely sick COPD patients.

And feel free to post questions and comment on other threads.

Hope you will be feeling a lot better real soon.

Raoul

Welcome Goopy,

My name is Sue and I'm 59. I am on O2 as needed, which is a lot lately. I was diagnosed almost 5 years ago but I think I have had it a long time. I started out with asthma and smoked for 41 years and have been quit for almost 5 years now. I'm so sorry about your husband. That's got to be really hard on you with the COPD on top of it. There are some great grief groups here, I'm on a few. I lost my son 6 years ago due to an assault so the Holidays are really hard.

I hope you will post often for any reason at all. Be sure and explore all the different groups here. I think I'm in 6 different groups. Gotta stay busy.

Sue

Good morning Goopy,

Good to see you posting. This group tends to be a little quiet at times but they will come back to life when someone has issues to talk about. I am in the obesity group cuz I gained 30 pounds when I quit smoking, two grief groups for the loss of my son, a group about social security for when I'm ready to quit work. At the top of the page, there are tabs that you click on and they will take you around the site. Don't be afraid to click on them, nothing bad will happen LOL. For me, being able to share my feelings, good or bad, with people who really understand, is priceless.

Keep posting. Have you been to the specialist yet?

Sue

Good Morning Goopy,

I know what you mean about the lung transplant. I have good days and bad days and I to am torn between the possibility of making it worse. It's only 4 degrees here in Minnesota this morning with a windchill of -14. I have to work today so I hope my O2 does'nt freeze up. Are you able to work at all, or exercise?

Have a great day.

Sue

hi sue

no i cant work havent in about 6 years i am getting started exercising again now that is probaly the only reason i do even this good is because i have always stayed active at work and also exercise. sure hope it can hepl me again. i never give up hope. i dont think i could live where you do if it is normal to be down to 4 degrees cause it sure shuts your breath down.have a good day and stay well. goopy
