My name is Jen and i was told i have copd about 5 years ago i am 33 and a single mother of 2. I go see my doctor once every 3 months but the medication he keeps putting me on don't seem to help. He also wants me to walk because i have heart problems and he told me that this will help make it stronger the only problem there is that i can't even walk a block with out getting short of breath. I would really appretiat any suggestions that anyone may have.

thanks

Jen

Hi jenjen! I agree with your doctor 100% keep active even if it is just short distances. How about trying a stationary bike? You need to stay active because if you dont then you will most likley slowly gain weight and that causes more problems. Ask about PT. Maybe they could give you other exercices to do to that will get your heart rate up.

Goog luck

Angie
