I'm already getting 200% of the RDA of Niacin in one of my vitamins. Not sure if I should try upping this or not. I remember getting a niacin flush once and it was pretty scary. But on the otherhand, I'm at the point where I'll try just about anything. Some one told me apple cider vinegar but I'm still trying to talk myself into that one. I have been taking acidophilus and regular unsweetned yogurt.

Hi Sue,

How about salt water gargling? or checking for something at your local vitamin/supplement shop? I have a bottle of something called "Candida Freedom" but it's pricey. I paid $29.95 for 30 capsules! Yikes!

Just checked my trusty Reader's Digest Guide to Medical Cures & Treatments. This book has saved me a bundle and my granddaughter was about to have tubes put in her ears - when I told my daughter-in-law about what they recommended and her ear infection cleared up and she hasn't had one since.

Anyway, for thrush it says 'to brush your teeth after every meal and rinse your mouth with a solution of 1 tablespoon hydrogen peroxide to a half cup of water. It recommends that you sterilize your eating utensils - or use plastic disposables until you are better, and to rinse your mouth several times a day with a solution of 1 teaspoon of salt in a half cup of water. Hey, if it works - it's a cheap fix.

Hope you are doing better.

Love, hugs and prayers,

Gail

I have been using salt and switching back and forth to peroxide. It helps some but my problem is I keep thinking it's going away and then I have sugar and it comes right back.

Hi Sue,

You know - that's like me - feeding the neighbor's cat and then wondering why he keeps coming back.

The neighbor doesn't get home until quite late some days - and the Christmas cat named Noel but everybody calls him Fred - gets hungry. So I started to give him some food once in a while. Then my neighbor asked me if I would please feed him food to prevent urinary tract infections. I have fed the cat for so long that he can't decide where he lives. It's worse than that - I think he loves me. Some days he would rather me pet him than to get fed. I have been thinking of asking for joint custody.

Sure hope your thrush goes away - but don't be like me and keep feeding it.

Love, hugs and easy breathing,

Gail
