MDJunction to me

carmen33"When I first came to MDJ, I was in a very dark place, and feeling quite alone, I don't know how I found this site, but I have been very grateful ever since, all of you have offered insight to the illness of Bipolar and the other things going on with me, being here has allowed me to find friends, and to feel safe in discussing things that I would never have shared before.

I believe it has also offered me the chance to reach out and help others. A simple Thank you, is all that I have to offer, to this site and to the wonderful people here.

Going back to work today for 1/2 day. Scared to death. Still feel weak and don't know if this is such a great idea or not. Sure not getting any better sitting around here so I am hoping by getting out and moving, it's just gotta help, at least I hope so.

I will let you know this afternoon how it goes.

Sue

Hello friends- I too was called in to substitute this morning,I had 40 mintues to get ready and it takes 20 min to get there, so I was starting to huff and puff then remembered to go slow and deep breathe and save me steps.do 4 things along the way, retrain my brain.and they dont mind if a sub is late.oh and sue I love your picture.I work with mentally challenged kids which I love to do,and I also work in the regular classrooms,it gets me out of the house and the good part about being a sub is that you can say no.which Im sick alot especially in the winter.hope everyone is breathing well the mucinex is really helping clear my airways.Smile Smile

I am a 51 year old female that is in intractable pain, I've had 5 spinal surgeries including a 3 level/360 fusion from L2 to L5. The surgery failed and I am in miserable pain 24/7. I had an SCS implanted in June of 08, and I want to have a trial for the pain pump, but it will have to wait until I move... I am a cancer survivor x 2 and right now I am convalescing at home from a surgery on my R leg, were I had plates and screws installed.

NO, is not been a wimp hun, is just that your body is going to take a little bit of time to recover, so rest as much as you need to, and don't over do it, hopefully after a few days you will be doing better. Take care and get your beauty sleep

Hi Sue,

Glad to hear you made it okay. Did your doctor offer any suggestions to you about going back?

I don't think that's being a wimp. I worked hard - I sat in the recliner at 2:45 PM - woke up at 6:03 PM and was trying to figure out if it was morning or night! What a deep sleep. I don't consider me a wimp - if I am - I'm a tired wimp.

We could be wimps together.

Love and hugs,

Gail
