hi everyone, well, u no i was just gona get off here finish cleaning and i figured b4 i forget what the heck iam gona tell u guys, let me get it out there now lmao

Well, You all know im hopefully maye going for a lung transplant, its a maybe, Im on a facebook page for copd which is cool, but also a f/b page for transplantatons, its a good sorce of infomation too. theres people in there post transplanted for yrs. u get the good and the bad, hich is ok, I mean if ur at a stage in ur life ur goin to die in this amont of time then tryin anything to live is worth while, its just a bitch that you have to do this because u smoked. you abused your body. there was alot of suceess stories i read, and alot of not so succeessful ones, imagine thursday,a man comes in to say his wife had died while waiting for her transplant, she was listed over a yr,she didnt make it. theres another one that her sister was transplanted lasted 2 yrs.( c/f ) one girl there is in the hosp more then home, has many problems with rejection, theres a whole lot that goes with transplants, and its scary . alot of the ppl there are also cycstic fibrosis. they didnt cause this, they dont know what it feels like to breath normal, so they are waiting on line excited for there transplant jumpin for joy,and heres me, ohhh shit.

also do u no, that I can end up after allll this, and end up with smokers lungs!!!!! YEAAAAAA.. Ohh i dont think they will be like mine, iam sure that its a younger person with mayb a few yrs of smokin, at 1st i said if i want smokers lungs ill keep my own . but if u think about when it come to life and death anything would be beter then mine. and half the people in the world smoked at one time or another.think about it.I also have to go for a lung biobsy too, which hear is very painful,as i canot be put to sleep for it thanks to copd. have a pic. of a lung surgery im gona post it, if see no pic it didnt post, il be bringing info here from there, so yea less ppl are not smoking these days but thats not gona help me any but it will be very helpful to the future for ppl with c/f( cycstic fibrosis ) then they dont have to worry about smokers lungs.theres a girl there i was talkin to on wed night, thursday night at 10 pm she got her call to run there asap, she was in surgery till 6am, they said it was 7 hrs long, as of now still resting but it all went well, tonight her son will put an update if shes out of icu, s amazing what medical techology can do these days . so the only advice i can reli give u all is protect ur life and stop smoking, protect our future and teach our kids there kids any kids he danger of smoking.well i reli have to clean b4 hubby gets in,hell think i didnt do anything all day but sit on the computer,

I had a lung biopsy. It was uncomfortable but I can't say it was painful. They did give me a local to relax me but I felt the same. My problem was that I started coughing. This was when I was still smoking and had severe smokers cough. They did get the tissue and it was benign. I was very lucky. I was pretty much resigned to think that I did have lung cancer, since that's what my Dad died from, butI lucked out. You would think I would have quit smoking then, you would think.

More than 750 Patients Transplanted. Read their Success Stories. i was able to get 2, inless we can get them all here, i dot no.

Richard F.

Fountain Hill, PA

Richard suffered from emphysema which ultimately damaged both his lungs and his liver. In 2005, Richard received a double lung and liver transplant at the Penn Transplant Institute.

"Receiving a lung/liver transplant totally transformed my life. Within five months after getting my new lungs I went back to my job as an electrical engineer. The first winter after my transplant I was able to shovel snow again while experiencing very little shortness of breath. I can now carry the trash out, do laundry and carry clean clothes up two flights of stairs. A few years ago I got a mountain bike to ride on local trails and bike paths. Now I can enjoy the outdoors, and get the exercise I need to stay fit and to keep my new lungs healthy."

Karen W.

Manahawkin, NJ

Karen was diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD), and received a double lung transplant in 2004 at the Penn Transplant Institute.

"Since my transplant, there are so many things I can do that I couldn’t do before. I can walk long distances when we go on vacation – I even went rafting on a recent summer trip. I am an avid baseball fan, and just being able to go to games is a big accomplishment for me. Grandchildren’s birthdays, graduations, school plays, so many things I can do now. I wake up every morning happy to see another day – life is good!"
