Nice to meet u little ones. Hey u found the right place myself and several other members deal with panic attacks associated with our copd. I myself went my whole life handling it with just a depression pill(paxil) but I just had to ask my doctor for xanex

I did'nt know what to ask for he came up with zanix. I

take it before some test and before some meetings with the dr if I am expecting bad news so far only 1/2 one has been working. I hope this helps and there will plenty more answers as our other members see ur post. Hang in there it will get better. Have they told you any number yet such as lung function?I have 02 on 4l while I been sick 3 l normaly/24/7. Ok getting tired now will tal to u later sending big hugg.Smile Smile Smile Smile WELCOMESmile Smile Smile Smile

Welcome little ones. Panic attacks. I just got zolaf for mine. I felt like I was shaking inside and about to have a heart attack. I have only been on it for a few days I heard it takes a few for it to start really helping.

You have found the right place to be. I am new to the group and the support I have found here has changed my life for the better. Keep asking questions.....

Huggs

Teri

Aww Littleones, I am so sorry you have that panic, but I really do know what you are talking about and going through!! I have been finally able get a bit of a grip and not let it go into a full blown attack (for right now anyway) Breath in through your nose and out of your mouth (purse you lips as if blowing out a candle) do this slowly and it does help if you can start at the beginning of the attack,, and ask your doctor for xanax too I think every copd person I know is on it!! It is like a magic pill but it is mild and make you feel all groggy..

I am glad you came here, we all have our issues with this disease and lots of little things to help.. Welcome!!!! Glad to have you..

Hope to talk to you soon!!!!!

Laura

Sorry to hear that you are having those dang panic attacks. They are easy to get when you are having a hard time breathing. Try doing some of the deep breathing or Yoga stretching to calm yourself. Works for me.

I don't have COPD Littleone but my dad did, he also suffered panic attacks and was prescribed Xanax which really helped him cope with everything. This an amazing group of people on here and I wish I would have found them earlier than I did.
