Hello, I am very new at this and unsure of how it all works. I am mom to an 8 yr old son who has ADHD, Learning Disabilities and Legg'-Calve'-Perthes Syndrome. He has now been in a wheel chair since April 2007. He has had two surgeries to correct the problem. He will be in the chair at least through next summer. He is on "home bound" schooling where a teacher comes to the house two days a week for two hours. We are both really worn out from this whole thing. He is not able to run and ride his bike like he did before April and I haven't been able to get a break away from it all. My husband works from 6:30 am til 8 pm and truely has no clue what it's all about. He has 4 days off a month. That is everyother weekend and he makes his own plans that are away from the house most times. He and a couple friends go out fishing every chance they get. I feel like I am in this all alone and I get no relief.  I have no clue how much more I have to give. I also have many health problems and I am at my witts end.  I have two real good friends. One lives an hour away now since she moved and the other lives 15 hours away and haven't seen her in 5 years. We do talk on the phone once and a while and we talk on line a great deal. My family has moved away and now they are 10 hours from us. I feel so alone.  |
