MDjunction was born mainly for this cause.

We want people to share their experiences with doctors and illnesses, give each other tips on how to choose a doctor or how to fight a certain health problem.

So, with that said, here are my top 5 tips on how to choose a doctor:

1. MDjunction. You knew I’ll have this first…

Read reviews and ratings, check forum posts. Get to

know your doctor.

2. Don’t be shy! speak to people.

You never know, who knows who and what. This can be

life saving.

3. Don’t be afraid to ask the doctor for his/her

credentials. They work for you, like any other

service provider (and get well paid for it).

4. Do a simple google search, you never know what

would come up.

5. If your doctor recommends a major procedure, always

get a second opinion.

I hope this helps,

Now let’s hear your tips.

check with your state medical board, to make sure that the doc is really a doc and free of legal issues.

I think that the only thing that really matters is what insurance the doctor accepts.

Sad but true.

I have just one more thing to offer........

Because you have to be so careful with who you chose and even then you don't really know why this person is a doctor. All I can say is:

KNOW YOUR STUFF !!!

This kind of drives doctors crazy, cause the patient always thinks they know best, even when they don't have a clue. So don't be a know it all, don't speak up or offer advice unless you see the doc is doing something wrong. Knowing your stuff is mainly for you, so you don't get taken advantage of. There is so much to learn on the internet, let it teach you. Get seconds opinions, research everything that is diagnosed, and never never be afraid to ask questions. In the end go with your gut. Don't be afraid to say no. Doctors are not "G-d" . They merely have studied more than we have. When its right you will know inside, and feel at peace.

Oh, and if anyone has a wonderful amazing doc, please put their name on this forum for other to know about.

To life !!!

I have a fantastic doc here in Washington state. Her name is Dr. J Shaw and her offices are in Bellingham WA. She has been my doctor for the last six to seven years.
May the sun bring you new energies by day,
May the moon softly restore you by night ,
May the rain wash away any worries you may have,
And the breeze blow new strength into your being,
And then, all the days of your life,
May you walk gently through the world, and know it’s beauty and yours.
A Native American Blessing
