Hello - I stumbled across your post with the site for the list of Liver Transplant Hospitals. Wonderful to know about! I'm scheduled for Eval at U of Penn 2/27/2012 but most all of my family went to University of Virginia nd I had no idea they did Liver Transplants.

So you know when this list was last updated? It has Penn listed as doing 2 LT's and UVA as doing 11. I also live near ALfred Dupont Childrens Hospital which is on the list but I assume for children only.

Thanks so much - I wish you could make the site you listed as part of Mdjunction.com. Ru

You can see a lot of statistics, including all the transplant centers in a given state, at the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) website. One variation I looked at was the number of transplant candidates by transplant center broken down by how long they have been waiting (time since listing). This particular statistic doesn't really matter to the allocation of livers but may provide a level of comfort to some people. You can also choose to build an "advanced report" to produce a listing of all transplant centers waiting counts by MELD (you'll see that most livers are allocated to the higher MELDs as expected)

Thanks Dennis that is helpful information. You can really narrow it down there.

Found some extra links for even more info:

The Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients

http://www.srtr.org/

Within that site they have an updated list of TP hospitals
