MDJunction to me

MissNikkiAnn"When you have an illness with the name "Non-Familial Dysautonomia" (a name that most people, and even doctors, have never heard of), you need a network
of people who understand the name and the symptoms/issues that come with it.
MDJunction led me to that network of people during a very confusing and sickly time. For this I am thankful. And for this reason I try my best to give back to other members the same care and help that I received through MDJunction.

I hate asking this here but cant get an anwer from anyone else. Does anyone know anything about the gas that develops. I seem to have alot of it and well lets just say the Military would pay me millions for this toxic chemical. lol

I have been bloated and passing alot of gas and belching alot again. I did this before I started

throwing up blood and I am kinda scared.

Ann,

Hi name is Alicia and I am a cargiver for my husband and he always has gas and lots of it. He is always complaning that his stomach is upset and that he isn't feeling well. I guess it depends a lot on what you eat too it can make the gas worse. He asked the doctor the doctor said he would rahter not give him anything for it because of the cirrhosis. I know it's embarrassing but if you don't let it out it does make you miserable. I know it makes Mike feel awful. Try laying on your side and bringing up your leg to your side on a pillow and it will help release the gas.

Hi and no question about my health is gross to me. However I was raised that ladies dont pass gas in public or in front of anyone

at home. I cant walk anywhere without it just happening. So I

stay home alot.

Sharon checks my stomach and its always soft when laying down and

after a considerable amount has passed it goes down and pressure is

relieved. Someone said that the odor as well as the gas is due to the releasing of toxins and if thats the case bring it on. If it signals more going wrong then I want them to tell me.

Stools go from loose to soft form and are light brown in color. I go once or twice a day. Trying to look it up on internet but so far no luck . Thanks

Ann

Ann,

I am afraid that all kinds of GI upset is normal with cirrhosis, I constantly leave the room or groups so that I don't offend anyone.

The lactulose can make this worse ( But its a necassary evil )

Now If you are bleeding you need to call the Dr. No question about it. That is always a warning sign.

Gail,

Welcome back good to see you posting again. Thankfully so far no blood and because of it all starting with my bleeding profusely I ck every stool. Cant remember what commedian was talking about once we hit 40 we start cking our stools lol. I think of that every time I look. We use a pen light as its more concentrated light and helps spot a little blood easier.

ROFL what a wonderful topic so early in the morning, before breakfast even. Smile Hope you are feeling better now Gail and

see you on more often.

Ann

Ann,

They gave me a Box of the little cards to use every week and the test solution so I can check at home.

My life is so full

Wow no one even mentioned that to me. Will ask my dr about it. My appointment with my pcp was moved up because of last ER visit. So will ask him about it. That is a great idea. You are a wonderful wealth of information once more. Hugs

Ann
