has anyone begin to have thyroid problems after hep c treatment? my visit to my doctor last week , i was told through my blood tests that the tsh test level of the thyroid was .05 and that it should be much higher.i have to see an endocriolgist.can you give me some insight on this.

For some reason some people with Hepatitis (especially chronic) have Antithyroid Antibodies. These cause a decrease in the production of thyroid hormones.This also happens in people with Diabetes,Lupus,RA,and sjogren syndrome.
