was just wondering if being told i am diabetic, anemic, stomach diease, fatigue, vomiting in mornings, loss of apatite and seems the list keeps adding on as time goes by, is most of this caused by my liver cirrhosis. been having a lot of bad days lately. with all these things going on and have test on regular bases for last 7 years but doc says my liver #'s are ok but having all these problems along with the itching and blisters is taking its tll on me and has my wife worried, i told her i was fine and will be ok but i really dont know.....Sad

Waltere-- Since your symptoms sound like what I was experiencing, I would say those issues you mentioned are probably cirrhosis-related. My problem was since I was clueless with regard to cirrhosis, I seemed to ignore those symptoms. Now I'm more attuned to them.

And as several will say about lab results, they are not necessarily the tell-all tale. I don't seem to vomit much anymore but still have nausea. However, you can also have vomiting, fatigue, loss of appetite, etc. with diabetes. If you were diagnosed with it recently, you may not be in the habit of checking your sugars everyday. See if they're way too high or way too low. Symptoms can be the same in both extremes.

That being said, with me, the initial itching was tremendous in the beginning before my cirrhosis was even diagnosed. Now it seems to have subsided a little. Is your doctor going to have you back for a follow-up? I would find that strange with your symptoms, but if anything seems the least bit unusual, just call your doctor and request an appointment. No one knows you better than you.

i do check my sugars everydaya nd they are running great, my last A1C was 5.8. i was put on antibiotics last week for the next 10 days and it seems to help a lot. i also ask my druggist at walgreens and she says its all probally steming from my liver as well. so everyone cant be wrong but my doc. i called yesterday to see about being put on them from now on to help with the infections but was told i didnt need anymore after that but i know it will just start over again after i am out and its out of my system.vomiting has gotten a little better but feel really tired a lot and my stomach is just a mess still. hangin in there and will keep trying.

thanks

Having Cirrhosis isn't the same as having Liver Failure. As long as the Cirrhosis is "Compensated" your liver numbers can remain normal.

That doesn't mean your won't have nay symptoms however.

Stomach problems and Diabetes are very common in any disease that affects the liver especially Cirrhosis. We also have lower immune systems which increases the infection rates.Long term antibiotic can cause other problems including kidney problems (which is a risk for liver patients)so Drs limit their use.
