Has anyone had painful bowl movements??? Now my husband is complaining it hurts to have a BM and he is sore and raw when he goes like a hemmeroid so I went and got some cream and baby wipes to make that area not as raw. I think vasoline works too but he finds it too heavy and greasy. I got that sore raw feeling 17 yrs ago after giving birth to my son and a 40+ tear,so I use the baby wipes to keep clean and Ive used tucks pads in the past as well so I told him not to strain either, so has anyone else had this problem???
May God grant you Peace!!! Stay Strong!!! Sometimes life is unfair and bad things happen to good people in my case all too often dont give up, have courage, have faith, and rely on God!!!!

OMG yeah!

The veins that cause hemroids are part of the portal system that causes varices.

Usually, lots of water and fiber can make your stool softer and help them heel faster, sitz baths help a lot

Assuming that they are hemroids and not a tear things should heal soon.

Now, if it's a tear and your platelets are low, (exp 55 or lower) it may take a long time to heal.

Bottom line, you need to see the GI doctor to determine the cause and receive appropiate medication.

All I've told you is based only on my own personal experience, I'm not a doctor, nor I play one on tv.

Good luck.

Sammy

Zjs, in answer to your question, yes, although my problem apparently stems from the hemochromatosis that gave me cirrhosis. (High iron levels cause constipation.) Hemorrhoids can be internal or external. Cream will help external, suppositories will help internal. If OTC meds don't work, one can get a doctor's prescription for stronger stuff.
Sincerely, Mo

Constipation can be an issue with cirrhosis as I well know. I did not know that hemroids were part of the portal system so I guess caution should really be taken with regard to straining so as to not aggrevate a bleed.

Sammy!! I was sure you were that doc on that show called House. I am so disappointed!! Smile Smile (you are too funny buddy)

I was told to use whatever helped like stool softeners, enema's and of course eat fiber if I can.

hello from smiley1!

just wanted to comment on the painful bowel movements. wanted to say

that there are lots of natural "remedies." don't overlook the power in food.

you have probably heard on Dr. Oz that you can cleanse the liver with a misture

of beets, apples and carrots. i have tried these all separately. and eaten

alone, they are little soldiers - who go to work and do it forthwith! haven't

tried them all together but i can imagine their power.

Also, good for irritation of all kinds is aloe vera juice and orange

hello again. my page was not working.

as i was saying, orange juice is a powerful cleanser of the body. and among

many others, such as apple sauce, apple juice is ginger-root. boiled in a

tea, it helps nausea and is good for the digestive system.

i have also heard from a doctor on marilyn hickey that - you can place

a hot water bottle along with other things - diretly over the liver and that

it will stimulate the liver to work.

im sure there are other natural cures. those are a few. another

favorite of mine - an ethiopian dish, is cabbage boiled with carrots.

also, don't forget exercise and laughter and positive thinking!

good luck!

I try to stay away from different foods that bind, like popcorn, hard cheese and bananas. However, maybe these items aren't a problem for you. I also didn't realize this problem is connected with the portal system. Learning something new everyday! Smile
