Ok, my dad finally got a MELD score of 14. Is that bad? He is on 2 diuretics, Lactulose and xifaxin. They also took him off adivan.... I hope he is okay with that. He was taking that at night to get through the alcohol urges.

My MELD score is 12, my hepatologist, by the way a proffesor and member of UNOS, in other words he knows his stuff, does not feel I need to be listed in the liver transplant list. Even the bottom.

I'm still too healthy, I've been a 12 for the last 3 years.

They do fluctuate, sometimes I'm a nine, now i'm back to a twelve.

Good luck.

I was in the 14 range over a year, and the 10-12 range a couple of years before that. Basically, a 14 is good. Treat the symptoms and monitor.
Peace be with you,

Mike
