MDJunction to me

tomboykimi"What MD Junction means to me is a place where i can feel like im not alone. As someone with something as rare as hydrocephalus, it feels like im the only one in the world with it. When i came to MD, its like everyone has it. It doesnt feel like im alone. And that people need to hold up a sign to say what i have, because people know. And they understand. I can get questions answered from people who have been through it rather than from doctors or people who only can tell you from a physical standpoint. THat is what MD junction means to me." I had my gallblader out in 7/2008 and that is when they did another biopse and found that I also had chirrosis & Hepatitisof the liver besides Sarcodosis which I have had for years. Anyway to the point. I forget things as you can tell by my spelling hafe the time. Always tired and have gained 34 lbs since the surgery. My legs and feet are so swelled that I can't put shoes on half the time. And my body is hard as a rock. I read that you loose weight with Cirrhosis. Has any one here had my problems. May be they are wrong about the Cirrhosis and it is something else.

I'm an Advocate

Angel,

You do lose weight with cirrhosis. Usually from malnutrition from not being able to eat.

The stomach is usually large from ascites (fluid in the abdomen)

There is usually fluid build up in the legs also.

All of this may not happen until this the cirrhosis is advanced.

My Dr. has me weigh once a day and report any increase of more than 5 lbs. A hard large tight abdomen can mean ascites.

See your Dr. and ask to be checked for ascites its the only to know what you are dealing with.

Thanks for the info. My stomach is so bloted and I can hardly get my shoe's on half the time. And I sound like I drank the ocean. I hate to get in public. I go for my next round of blood work Wed. and hope to see the doctor next week.
