Angel, You do lose weight with cirrhosis. Usually from malnutrition from not being able to eat. The stomach is usually large from ascites (fluid in the abdomen) There is usually fluid build up in the legs also. All of this may not happen until this the cirrhosis is advanced. My Dr. has me weigh once a day and report any increase of more than 5 lbs. A hard large tight abdomen can mean ascites. See your Dr. and ask to be checked for ascites its the only to know what you are dealing with. Gail Gail
