Hi, I just joined this site today, so am not sure of my way around yet. Just reading randomly and came across your post. I have autoimmune hepatitis (cross over syndrome with primary biliary cirrhosis), among other related diseases...... I tend to just think of the whole lot as one, just lots of various symptoms. The itch! I have had the itch dreadfully at various times over the years. Finally, I tried cholestyramine (Questran Light). This worked fantastically for me. Maybe this won't be the answer for you, but I had to tell you as I was going out of my mind with itching and tearing my body to shreds. I had to my bed sheets a lot as I scratched myself to ribbons. I thought my legs would never look normal again and it so lowered my self esteem and made me feel dirty. Within a few days I felt a difference even though my consultant said it would take a month. Over the years I have had various autoimmune diseases diagnosed including SLE (lupus), lichen planus and lichen schlerosis, sjogrens syndrone. I dont itch at the moment so I am grateful that my hep professor helped me with that. Good luck. Wendy |
