Ok, maybe TMI but I just need to ask someone...my stools are soft and green. Yes, very green. I had one large amount on Monday morning followed by a bout of watery stool, no stools yesterday and then another large amount this morning, soft and green and then the watery one about 2 hours later. What does green mean? I haven't changed anything in my diet.
Journey well,
Robyn

I'm an Advocate

Causes of green stools

Antibiotic-associated diarrhea

Conjugated Estrogens and Medroxyprogesterone (Oral Route)

E. coli

Eating disorders

Food and food dyes

Indomethacin (Oral Route)

Iron supplements

Pseudomembranous colitis

but in adults it is usually caused by what we eat.

It could be something you ate. Everything went green for me when I had a biliary infection but it was accompanied by severe pain, high fever, etc.

I hadn't changed anything and it was green for a week and then went back to the classic light brown now. I will ask my hepa about it when I go. I did have worse stomach pains while it was green and I'm wondering if I have a stomach infection or something.
Journey well,
Robyn

How about the Urso? Do you tolerate it well? I had difficulty with loose stools when I first started it...could it be that, maybe combined with not feeling well or something? Yes tell your Hep and see what they say...

How do you feel? Better, worse or the same?

This may sound a bit off subject, but have you drank any grape juice or crystal light or ate any fruit loops are colored yogurt or anything like that? It will change your stool to green for awhile.

That was the strangest part of it, I hadn't changed a thing. I try not to mix up my diet because of such bad stomach issues. I have found what works and keep it the same. It lasted for 5 days so it wasn't just a one time stool. Although now for the past 5 days or so it's back to some normalcy, lighter brown but not green. When it was green I had worse stomach problems and fatigue was way up. I am on Xifaxin (antibiotic) and I'm wondering if I had a stomach infection that was cleared up by the antibiotic.
Journey well,
Robyn

Oh and the Urso, sss, I've been on it for over 2 months now and the nausea had pretty much diminished, unless I don't take it with food. The green stool week was the worse week I have had for awhile, stomach pains and tired.
Journey well,
Robyn

Xifaxin is also used for "Montezuma's Revenge", so you might be right.
Peace be with you,

Mike
