If I'd had labs anything like that before my transplant I would have been celebrating. But, that's me.
Peace be with you,

Mike

Jimmy,

Your labs look good. Yes platelets fluctuate.

Your symptoms (As listed above are not symptoms of decompensated liver disease.

(Red palms, Darker yellow urine, Fingernails whiter, Flabby chest (gynecomastia?)

Can be very early signs or signs of a totally unrelated problem.

Symptoms of decompensated liver disease are things like Ascites, Encephalopathy, Varices, Kidney failure.

Remember if your problems were caused by alcohol this can also cause your symptoms and it takes a long time for the body to heal after the alcohol is removed. Wait until you see the GI and have proper testing before you worry too much.Even if you do have Cirrhosis as long as you refrain from All alcohol your liver can heal enough to live a normal life

YOur platelets are great, most of us have platelets under a 100 and hope we can keep them over 50, just so that we can get our teeth cleaned.

Platelets fluctuate all the time, as it has previously been stated, and more importantly, you live enzymes are good. We all wish we had your results.

Usually the one organ that causes your platelets to go down, is your spleen.

Has you doctor done an MRI or CT-scan of it? If its swollen, then it is probably the culprit, if its not, there just MIGHT be nothing wrong with your platelets.

Jimmy you're probably just adjusting to being free of alcohol. I do a little celebration for that to, thank the Lord. Your platelets seem to be nothing to worry about just now, but if I remember right I think you said they were about 350 some time ago and now they're down to 290 or so. I would keep an eye on that, but yes they will fluctuate.

Ask your Doc. to do an ultra sound just to have the reassurance that there is no Cirrhosis. I'll be praying for you.

Peace and Joy to you Paul

Again very very good lab results! As others have said NO sign of advanced liver diesase, not decompensated liver. I think you are worrying about having more advanced disease than you may actually have.....

Have you yet had any ascites that were drained? Any varisites, bleeding or banding of the esophagus? Any episodes of hepatic encephalopathy? Treated for any of those advanced disease symptoms? If not, REJOICE. We all wish our blood work was as good! That's probably due to quitting drinking, good for you!

Take your time to smell the roses, and always follow your heart.
