MDJunction to me

carmen33"When I first came to MDJ, I was in a very dark place, and feeling quite alone, I don't know how I found this site, but I have been very grateful ever since, all of you have offered insight to the illness of Bipolar and the other things going on with me, being here has allowed me to find friends, and to feel safe in discussing things that I would never have shared before.

I believe it has also offered me the chance to reach out and help others. A simple Thank you, is all that I have to offer, to this site and to the wonderful people here.

Today I did see a little ray of open from my angel. Our nurse practioner is considering starting a nutrition/weight loss support group for people with NASH Cirrhosis. She battles weight all the time herself. She has been a diabetes educator in the past and knows how important diet is in these illnesses. She wanted my input. She is going to contact the local GI doctors, hepatologists, etc. I want and need this so desparately. This is giving me more hope than having more darn tests.

Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right..Forget about, scratch that, Pray for the ones who don't. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it!-Catherine Yen

That's a fantastic idea. It is very motivating to lose weight together with others. Especially those who are doing it for the same reason, their livers. Please keep us informed.
