What is chronic pain? is it caused by an accident or can you just have it. I have bad back pain and just feel weird and uncomfortable sometimes. It's hard to describe and so far i havn't been able to find help. it isn't like severe, sharp pain. it just makes me tired, uncomfortable, and unable to go on with my normal routine. Any ideas?

Chronic pain is defined as pain that persists longer than the temporal course of natural healing, associated with a particular type of injury or disease process.

Well, that's the definition that I've found. I wish I had an answer for you, but am really unsure. I wouldn't think that it would necessarily have to be caused by an accident. But... I don't know.

Have you been to any doctors?

It's not EXTREME pain but it is very frustrating. I'm in high school and am not sure what i am going to do next year because i have missed so many days. I've been to all my regular doctors but no specialists yet.
