MDJunction to me

cinderella"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

I haven't tried that one. However I have two audio books that have helped me in more areas than just the one intended.

1.) Meditation for Pain Relief by Jon Kabat-Zinn: I have tried to get through the whole 2 hour book but as I listen and follow the directions given, I fall asleep. So I guess I am getting a benefit from it.

2.) Sleep Solutions by Roberta Shapiro - it is more of a spoken word album than a book, but I use the breathing techniques taught in it to help with anxiety and panic attacks. I got the "book" because I do have insomnia, usually due to pain. About 48 minutes total.

Both of these publications require daily work. You can do as little as 10 minutes or go the whole length. Found them on Amazon, too. I do better with audio books because I don't have to focus on holding the material while trying to follow instructions.

I am not a professional anything, but I do have opinions - for what they are worth!

Never, never, never give up - Winston Churchill

As long as you are breathing, there is more right with you than wrong with you, no matter what is wrong with you. - Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D
