Anyone on Hydromorphone? Whats your dosage? Mine is 56mgs.

I have taken the hydromorphone and I dont remember the dose I was at but they finally switched me to the time released Morphine which I take 90mg 3 times a day and at night I take 120mg of it.Plus other things for break through pain..

Mitzgirl, thats equivalent to 97.50mgs of Dilaudid!!!!!! wow!

I dont know all the equivalents like you do Noca but I know it is alot but it takes that much to allow me to function unfortunately but I can still do some things...

the conversion rate from morphine is 8 - 10mg= 1mg of dilaudid. morphine 90mg 3x a day is equal to 27-36mg of dilaudid a day

I was on Hydromorphone HCL after my hip replacement but at a much smaller dosage. It did help with the pain.

I am on 8 mg hydromorphone 4 times as a breakthrough med. I take 20 mg of methadone twice a day as a longer acting; Im also prescribed soma 350 3 x's a day and xanax for anxiety 3 times a day. I do great with the methadone i just wish he'd up my hydromorphone, But i do as im told most of the time. When i have a flare up i take 12 mg of the hydromorphone, If i overdo it that means im bed ridden for 2 to 7 days. Just depends on how i over did things. Im also on savella 50 mg 3 times a day, Those are just the chronic pain meds, Im on more for high blood pressure, hypothyroid issues ,asthma, insomnia, migraines, ibs, perimenopasual, and endometriosis. I also do a foot cleansing once a month to pull all the toxins out and let me tell you it helps. I have felt alot better since i started doing that and taking juice plus.

Hi, i take 4 mg. 2x day, thats what the doctor gave me and 5mg. of oxycodone. it's not strong enough but i am small, so i guess that's why i get the low dose, if i took your dosage i would be sick, hydr makes me sick if i take 8 mg. and i don't like how it makes me feel, although i am going to ask for it to be uped to 3xday on the hydro.i suffer so i know i'm not getting much pain meds. but my doc. wont change me much.you look small from your picture how do you do on those doses?does it work well for you? I didnt start on 8 mg. I started on 4. But then i tore my ac joint from my clavicle and started having more problems with my endometriosis and periods. So they upped my meds. I couldnt even walk and on my right hand my middle and ring finger have been numb for over a month now, So thats why im take a bigger dose. When i was first diagnosed almost 7 years ago i started out on darvocet. You start to build up a tolerance for your meds and so they up them or try something new. I do ok on what he has me on, But if i had been started on this 7 years ago id be so sick. I also take phenergan for nausea so that helps too.
