MDJunction to me

ThereseML"When I first came to MDJ, I was in need of peer support in dealing with issues of my childhood abuse. I was moving away from the painful issues and trying to find an uplifting group of people to help me transition to a thriver in my life. I found that here. I also found a group of peers with Fibromyalgia and found the same uplifting experience there. My computer crashed and it was a while before I found my way back, this time with issues related to Parkinson's Disease. I had tried a few other support sites before reminding myself of MDJ. On those, I never got a reply. I finally found my way back here and again found very supportive, caring and inspiring people who made me feel like I was 'back home'. Indeed I am." (ThereseML)

Not much to say today. I don't really like to talk about my pain to my friends; and, my wife really doesn't want to hear it. So I may talk about my pain here, I don't know, I'm not sure yet..

I was diagnosed with Crohn's, but I can't stop this body from hurting. I feel like I'm fifty or sixty on the inside; And, yet, I am only just forty. My lower back has become so unstable that I fear moving for days at a time. Or, I hurt myself while walking and picking up a napkin???

Mostly I just try not to let myself get too angry,

about time lost,

or giving up yesterday, or last week...

I try to just get through today,

But, it is hard.

I'm gonna ride on.... Ride on,... ride on, (ride on) Ride On!

Hey Rideon

its not easy when your not sure who to talk to about what your going through, friends and familly are not always as supportive as you hope they should be and even if they were sometimes we feel we dont want to burden are friends with are pain stories yet here you can talk with out worrie of doing that.

we all need to be able to talk over how we are feeling are good days and are bad days the days when the pain is so bad no sleep, the meds are not working those crappy days were we just all vent and then those days when were having better days or trying a new med or just taking a long lavender epson salt bath that worked for a little while just talking to friends on here and reading what everyone has to say at times helps. Oh and making new friends on here too!

Thery are such a good crowd on here I hope you join us.

Hi Rideon,

Im sorry your having such a bad time, hope things improve for you soon.

Pain does grind you down, and often its hard to talk to anyone, you can feel friends thinking ... oh no here she goes again, moaning ! so i do try and be ok and not tell them anymore, and mostly they dont ask ! my poor husband gets most of my moans and rants.

But here you dont have to worry cos we are all going through the same and understand. Hope you feel you can come and let it all out on here.

Take care

Anything i say is purely my opinion based on my own experiences, so please if you have any concerns about your health see your Dr....

Thanks! I just feel insane most of the time. Am I dreaming all of these pains up.. Are they actually there??

I don't know.. But this is TRUE.

I don't take painkillers.

Stopped months and months ago.. (lost track)

Those drugs take me down the wrong path.. And, I can live with pain.

Some day.

Hey Rideon

there are so many different pain meds and all different strenghs some you only take one a day others as and when needed were all different and so is the amount of pain were in due to the condition of are complaint.

you say they took you down the wrong path maybe the meds you were on were too strong with side -effects I know Gabapentin had terrible affects for myself and family and I came off them and my pain especially the nerve pain is bad but Im trying new meds we dont have to be with out meds just because we have had a bad experience with some.

Could you go talk with your doctor maybe if your not wanting pain meds physical therapy or an alternative therapy you could look into.

you dont have to suffer in silence.
