I wish I had a choice. Right now I'm on oxyconten. I was on methadone, it seemed to help. But the sweating got to bad. I'm looking into a pain clinic and see if I can get or do something to lessen the pain!! Gen

Mine is the mix of Tramadol, 50mgs and Hydrocodone, 5-500mgs. Usually this mix gives me some releif. Every once in awhile though, the pain will bite me bad. Sad

(Sure most of you know this, but Hydrocodone is generic for Vicodin. Also, there are "many" doses for this drug.)

I have to say Nabumetone (anti-inflammatory) and Colchice (arthritic med) are my real choice of pain meds. These reduce inflammation, stiffness, and pain tremendously.

I still have to take hydro but at a much lower dose.

Although the hydro was a life saver...my "new meds" are what is truly working with my disease.

Thus, eliminating the horrid symptoms including fatigue.

Hugs

I have to say that I have a wonderful pain management doctor who put me on an awesome mix about 2 months ago. I take 30mg of morphine twice a day and then can take tramadol(4-50mg) or oxycodone(3or4-5/500mg) for breakthrough pain. Before that all I had for pain relief was tramadol. Talk about some rough days. Sad

Noca,

They aren't strong enough. The doctor I have seen for years, moved. Her replacement just doesen't understand what lupus pain feels like!

I'm trying to get into a pain clinic. Gen

I have to repeat to all Fibro patients, my PCP said Deplin is a wonderful med for treating Fibro. I take Deplin for pernicious anemia and to boost antidepression meds.

Has anyone discussed this med with doc?

Hugs

I call lortab my 'happy pill', I only use it for back up though. I don't do heroin or anything but I can bet that is what 'feeling' good feels like. But for a non narcotic.. I take Torodol, it takes longer to kick in however. My muscle relaxer is great as well it is called, Baclofen.
