MDJunction to me

peasha"This has been one of the most supportive places I have ever been. I found MDJ by mistaking looking for drs to help me with my many health issues and since that day over a year ago I have found a tight nit little family that keeps me going when the times are tough and offers me a place of retreat to share my successes and failures with others. I get to see the humor and seriousness of what I experience as well as the resources to learn about my health conditions. Thanks MDJ" (peasha)

Hi everyone!

So, I'm back. I feel kind of bad because I only seem to post here with bad news, and I had really wanted to make a positive post for a change.

So, for good news I did not need surgery ( Dr gave me a choice and I chose not to) and my lawsuit for the car accident that did this to me is about to be settled.

Now for the bad news......I am in an incredible amount of pain today. I'm talking like a 12 on the 1-10 scale. I can't bend, lay down, even sitting is barely tolerable. I've been in pain since last week, but we have had rain straight for the last seven days so I just chalked it up to weather changes. Well, yesterday I did something pretty foolish. I knew my back was hurting but I had a birthday party to go to and I wanted to look nice so I wore these high-heeled shoes with my jeans. Now they probably weren't more then maybe an inch as far as the heel goes. But, the restaurant we went to had us waiting for close to an hour and I didn't have a place to sit so I wound up standing in the heels until we finally sat down. At that point I was about a 6-7 on the pain scale, but I felt a lot better after I ate and got to sit for a while. I got home ok with no pain issues, but this morning I woke up and had a really hard time being able to move my left leg without a great deal of pain. As the day went on its gotten worse and worse. I was at my Mom's today and she's very into homeopathic and herbal cures and nothing she gave me worked. I just don't know what to do......I can't see a Dr until Wednesday because we have no money until then. I'm gonna try to go to sleep now with an icepack and see if that will work.

Another tragic failure of the pathetic American health care system. Hopefully the ice will hold you over. Best of luck.

Isn't always the case. You either feel good, or half way decent and finally can go to a function and last through it and think....WOW Shocked I can do this. And they you suffer for the next few days. I hear ya. I continue to do the same thing and wonder why I don't learn from the first experience. I think it is because I finally want to get out of the house and bed into real clothes that I forget what I will have to endure after my fandango. Hope you get to feeling better!!!

Good friends are like stars...you don't always see them but you know they are there.

Today is Wednesday so, hopefully, you're seeing the doctor. I'm sorry to hear about the insurance and money. I'm so fortunate that my hubby has insurance.

How are you feeling today? Any better?

We all tend to over-do when we feel better than some days. We must try to learn our limits. I really think I know my limits... I just don't always abide by them.

Let us know how you're doing.

Hi guys,

I'm feeling somewhat better.....I wound up going to the emergency room yesterday. I ended up getting three different medications through IV including Morphine. I also started on a perscription for Vicodin today. I have an appointment to see a chiropractor and an accupuncturist next week, I'm hoping both will help me. Thanks for the support!

Kristin

Good to hear your feeling some better. Its just too bad you had to get so bad before you could start to feel better. I hope you continue to improve. Take Care and good luck with the chiropractor and accupuncturist next week.

I'm not a Dr. and anything I write is my oppinion and my opinion only. I am just like you, I'm here for support and friendship from people who understand what I'm dealing with.
