Hello, everybody...my name is Liz, and I first joined the fibromyalgia support group. But I also have bad arthritis in my knees (I'm having one replaced on May 1). I have stenosis and bone spurs in neck, plus scar tissue and a bulging disc in lower back. I guess right now most of my pain is coming from the fibro and knees. Last week I tripped and fell, landing hard on my worst knee...not good! But I'm better from that.

I'm fortunate in that I have pretty adequate pain control, thanks to my GP. I've been going to him for over 20 years, so when I developed fibro (I was diagnosed by a rheumy) and the pain started getting too much to handle on my own, he was willing to prescribe what I needed to be fairly comfortable.

I'm looking forward to meeting folks here. I hope I can offer support and encouragement as well as receive the same. Only those of us who live with chronic pain can fully understand what each of us goes through. I read stories of others who are much worse off than I am, and I pray for those of you.

Blessings....Liz

Welcome to the group Liz! Our group is kinda small. Well, lots of members, but few are real active. BUT, you will find that there are truly some wonderful people here. So, feel free to post with questions and sharing.

Welcome Liz,

I have RSD and degenertive discs disease and arthritis. I have had surgery on C4, 5 and 6 which is what caused the RSD. I have 2 herniated discs in my thorasic area too but they can't do surgery there.

I am one of the ones that are on here a lot so if you need someone to complain to about your pain feel free to. I am sure you will get quite a few people to reply.

May you have a better pain week and God be with you!!

Cindy

Thanks so much for your kind and warm welcomes. I see there are several with fibro. Cindy, I've heard of RSD...mainly that it's extremely painful. Is it a type of nerve pain? Do they understand what causes it? I was just curious.

Thanks again, guys. I look forward to talking with you.

Liz
