Hello, everybody...my name is Liz, and I first joined the fibromyalgia support group. But I also have bad arthritis in my knees (I'm having one replaced on May 1). I have stenosis and bone spurs in neck, plus scar tissue and a bulging disc in lower back. I guess right now most of my pain is coming from the fibro and knees. Last week I tripped and fell, landing hard on my worst knee...not good! But I'm better from that. I'm fortunate in that I have pretty adequate pain control, thanks to my GP. I've been going to him for over 20 years, so when I developed fibro (I was diagnosed by a rheumy) and the pain started getting too much to handle on my own, he was willing to prescribe what I needed to be fairly comfortable. I'm looking forward to meeting folks here. I hope I can offer support and encouragement as well as receive the same. Only those of us who live with chronic pain can fully understand what each of us goes through. I read stories of others who are much worse off than I am, and I pray for those of you.
