Pmarie,

I apologize also. I did come across a little strong but I just want people to know that not all stories about our countries healthcare are bad.

Take Care!

Kardie

Smile Hi Kardie, and everyone else. I am just throwing my latest story out there.

I have been suffering from bad pain radiating down my legs. It got to the point to where it interferes with my daily life. I had been getting the spinal shots, and they worked, but my white blood cell count did go up; apparently this was attributable to the shots. I stopped getting them (had a total of 3) and my count went down.

The pain in my legs is apparently caused by collapsed, constricted foramina, the bone processes protecting the nerves entering and exiting the spinal column. After discussing this with my doctor, I have decided to get surgery. the procedure will put an inplant in the missing disc, remove excess bone, and shore up the column with screws.

I feel confident about the surgery and look forward to having my lower leg pain alleviated; I have to work out in my head the idea that I have a spinal column that is in absolutely terrible shape from top to bottom. How did this happen? Why? I know there is no answer for this. It just did.

I have been in this boat for many years now; now is one of those times when I must process my self image. I am not feeling sorry for myself. I am writing this because I have been carrying around a knot around in my body that I haven't give words to. writing has helped, so if you have stuck with me this far, thank you a million times over! It makes me smile to think of the sympathetic people on this forum.

May everyone have a pain-free day!
